Partybread

Dedicated to my cousin Andy Wade; a music lover who took his own life. While I may never know if you like any of the music I post on here, I know you would have been able to appreciate it for what it is: a piece of art.

Hazy Memories Sleepwalk + I Got You (via Lapalux’s XLR8R Podcast)

I spent most of yesterday listening to Brainfeeder’s electronic celeb on the rise, Lapalux and the podcast he dropped for XLR8R. He provided a great mix of jamz from faves like J Dilla and Holy Other to Jon Phonics and Matthewdavid, but one track (besides the Lapalux tracks themselves) stuck out in particular.

Smack dab in the middle of the playlist is this lovely streak of textural, emotional electronic titled “I Got You.” Like an underwater lullaby, Romanian producer Hazy Mountains combines muted bass drops and RnB influenced beats with crystallized breaks and swirling samples, lending to a super sexy take on down tempo electronic. You can tell he’s young and a bit rough around the edges, but I think he’s onto something. Can you dig it?

p.s. It’s been a while since I posted any chilled out sex beats, so you had to know this was coming.

Surkin - Canblaster Mega Remix

So much love to Canblaster and Surkin for this track. And the rest of the USA Mixes album is also great, with remixes by Para One, Club Cheval, A-Track, and so many more. It’s out, so definitely get it.
